Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with current enrollment and college coursework in Information Technology.
• Awareness of PC hardware components, desktop OS, applications and basic network troubleshooting.
• Experience or education in risk assessments, security plans, and Standard Security Configuration Guides.
• Knowledge of current and emerging PC industry trends and interest in information systems.
• Excellent analytical skills to research and understand technical documentation.
• Ability to perform installations and upgrades, virus protection, and eradication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Ability to interact with management and staff, work independently or in a team.
• Must be able to work on-site in Lynchburg, VA and for Summer 2027.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Assists with queued work orders from the help desk.
• Assists with cyber security process and procedure documentation.
• Performs basic information security tasks under supervision of cyber engineers.
• Supports the other local IT staff with a variety of projects.
