Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Lynchburg, Virginia hosts an on-site IT Intern program designed to deliver hands-on engineering and technology experience within a defense and energy context.

As an IT Intern you will support hardware, software, and other IT needs while contributing to engineering drawings, procedures, testing, and procurement activities, with mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program pursuing a technical discipline.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering unique engineering solutions used in a nuclear environment.
• Creating/updating drawings and procedures.
• Participates in design testing, analysis, project management and procurement of materials.
• OSH candidates will collect data, analyze, and design improvements to work environments and procedures.
• IT candidates will provide hardware, software, and other IT needed support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
