Job summary

Saigepartners is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer IV to support an enterprise security initiative for a Sun Prairie, WI client. The role emphasizes hands-on Illumio work and building micro-segmentation policies across Windows and Linux environments.

You will analyze network traffic, define policies, and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure communications. Remote work is considered for this contract, which starts ASAP and runs for an initial six months.

Qualifications

• Strong cyber security engineering background with network security and firewall expertise.
• Hands-on Illumio experience and micro-segmentation in enterprise settings.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, ports, protocols and traffic analysis.
• Experience in Windows and Linux environments and AD/DNS fundamentals.
• Ability to write and enforce security policies and firewall rules.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network traffic, ports, and dependencies to determine security policies.
• Design and implement micro-segmentation rules using Illumio for Windows and Linux.
• Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure, and security engineers to define communications.
• Identify and remediate legacy or overly permissive firewall rules.
• Prepare security policies for test and production deployment with senior engineers.
• Manage application assignments through Jira and participate in change management meetings.
