Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer in the United States to design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise systems and networks. You will deploy technologies like WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP, and work with CyberSecurity Architects on planning and implementation.

Requirements include 5+ years of cyber security experience, a related bachelor’s degree (or equivalent and CISSP/CEH/GSEC/CSSP), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent experience) such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, CSSP.
• Fluent in English and able to collaborate with a multicultural international team.
• Experience building real time analytics and data pipelines from different sources.
• Developing micro-services using REST framework and exposing/consuming data via APIs.
• Knowledge of network security and networking technologies; OS and database security.
• Experience with security monitoring and logging tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls across enterprise systems and networks.
• Deploy and maintain security technologies such as WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Proxy, and endpoint protection tools.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure to ensure high availability and effectiveness.
• Estimate technical effort, work breakdown structure, risks, and dependencies.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems; establish and promote design guidelines and standards.
• Experiment with new and emerging technologies; collaborate with CyberSecurity Architects.
• Participate in planning, proposal, and implementation of security controls and platforms.
