Amex GBT is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise systems and cloud deployments. You will work with architects and teams to reduce cyber risk, ensure audit readiness, and continuously improve security posture.

The role emphasizes deploying security tools, incident response readiness, and collaboration across a diverse, international team. Strong English communication is required and the position is based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cyber security engineering experience.
• Fluent in English; ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls across enterprise systems and networks.
• Deploy and maintain security technologies (WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Proxy).
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure for high availability.
• Collaborate with CyberSecurity Architects on planning and implementation.
