Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise systems and networks in the United States. You will deploy technologies such as WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Proxy, and endpoint protection, and collaborate with CyberSecurity Architects to plan and implement security platforms.

The role requires 5+ years in cyber security, a degree in CS or Cyber Security (or equivalent), and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent experience) such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, CSSP.
• ~5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering or related roles.
• Curiosity and passion for problem solving.
• Inclusive, collaborative, and able to work with a multicultural, international team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls across enterprise systems and networks.
• Deploy and maintain security technologies such as WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Proxy, and endpoint protection tools.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure to ensure high availability and effectiveness.
• Establish and promote design guidelines and standards.
• Experiment with new and emerging technologies.
• Respond to incidents as a representative of the CyberSecurity Engineering team.
