Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Cyber Security and Compliance Associate to assist with information and data risk advisory services and client projects. You will work with experienced professionals on compliance projects, cyber maturity assessments, and policy implementation, while helping operationalize client processes and controls.

The role emphasizes communication with client personnel, collaboration across teams, and contributing to reports and presentations that outline findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science is required.
• Three months of experience in IT compliance, security assessments, or technology advisory is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engagement projects with team members.
• Assist with compliance assessments (PCI, NIST, CIS, HIPAA) and related reports.
• Draft client presentations and summarize findings.
• Identify initial key risks and assess likelihood and impact.
• Prepare client reports highlighting work performed and recommendations.
• Coordinate with other BDO practices on technical issues and due diligence components.
• Travel as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
