Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Cyber Security and Compliance associate to assist with information and data risk advisory services and client projects. You will work with experienced professionals on compliance projects, cyber maturity assessments, and operationalizing client processes, policies, and controls.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while working collaboratively with teams across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science, required
• 3 months of IT compliance, security assessments, management consulting, technology advisory, or technology project management preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite; Visio knowledge preferred; AI platforms experience beneficial
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical abilities, and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Participates in engagement projects in consultation with other team members
• Assists with assessments such as PCI, NIST, CIS, HIPAA, readiness reports, Cybersecurity Audit under CCPA, and related tasks
• Drafts presentations of work products for clients
• Identifies and prioritizes key risks and assesses likelihood and impact
• Prepares client reports highlighting work performed, issues identified, and recommendations
• Coordinates with other BDO practices on technical issues and due diligence components
• Travel as required
• Other duties as required
