The opportunity

The Zscaler Engineer Senior will oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of Zscaler security solutions. This involves collaborating with various teams to ensure network security and performance, conducting risk assessments, and responding to security incidents.

Our Zero Trust services are central to aligning security strategies with business objectives, managing access, and enforcing policies. We partner with third-party vendors to offer comprehensive services, including strategy, assessment, testing, and deployment of Zero Trust solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and manage Zscaler security solutions to protect our network infrastructure.
2. Monitor and manage security configurations for Zscaler services.
3. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of network environments.
4. Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure secure deployment and management of network resources.
5. Respond to and investigate security incidents involving Zscaler solutions.
6. Implement and manage security policies within the Zscaler platform.
7. Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2.
8. Provide guidance and training on Zscaler security best practices.
9. Stay updated on Zscaler security trends, threats, and technologies.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Solid understanding of Zscaler solutions, including ZIA and ZPA.
• Experience in configuring, managing, and optimizing Zscaler services.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and standards.
• Ability to implement security controls in network environments.
• Understanding of network security principles.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in network security or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Zscaler solutions and features.
• Experience with network security tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2.
• Understanding of network security, IAM, and encryption.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Relevant certifications like Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), CISSP are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Zscaler, such as Zscaler for Users - Essentials.
• Knowledge of additional cloud security tools like CSPM, Data Protection, AI.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge of Zscaler architecture and deployment.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash.
