Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a Cyber Range Operations Manager to lead a team across range operations and testing. You will drive agile execution, coordinate with customers and planners, and ensure on-schedule delivery of range builds and validation activities in a complex cyber training environment.

The role requires strong leadership, DoD-level certification, and experience with Jira/Confluence, Windows/Linux, and cybersecurity tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 6-8 years of systems engineering and cyber range operations.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA, CISSP).
• Experience leading people and managing technical teams.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence to manage agile execution.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, networks, and cyber tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct people management for Range Operations personnel.
• Serve as first-level escalation point for personnel matters and performance issues.
• Conduct performance management, feedback, and mentoring activities.
• Review and approve timesheets per policy and contract.
• Lead agile execution using Jira/Confluence; manage sprint planning and reporting.
• Coordinate with customers, exercise planners, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure range builds, validation, and project delivery on schedule.
