Job summary

Cesi, a By Light company, seeks a Cyber Range Engineer for the PCTE-OG team to design and maintain advanced cyber training environments in an on-site role in Orlando. You will build cyber range content, configure networks, and support offensive/defensive exercises using VMware and mixed Windows/Linux hosts.

Required are 5+ years in cyber training, DoD 8570 IAT II, and certs with cloud, RedHat, and Windows/Linux. Travel up to 10% may be needed and security clearance will be required per contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 6 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in CNO/CNE/CND, cyber training, and CPT-related activities.
• Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification and relevant certs.
• Cloud/VMware certification and RedHat/Linux/Windows certifications.
• Experience with Windows and Linux in virtualized environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, build, and execute cybersecurity training in cyber range environments.
• Configure cyber range content: VMs, networks, tooling, and injects.
• Operate offensive and defensive training content under design guidance.
• Provide event support: readiness checks, access, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain Windows and Linux hosts, patching and lab state restoration.
• Deliver virtual infrastructure and network support (VMware, DNS, TCP/IP).
• Coordinate with developers and staff; track requirements and risks.
• Develop runbooks, diagrams, and after-action inputs for repeatability.
• Suggest process or configuration improvements.
