Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Greenville, TX seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support DoD and national programs. Duties include developing security documentation, performing audits, maintaining SSPs and RMF artifacts, and coordinating with the ISSM/AISSM and customers on accreditation and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree, Security+ IAM I, and RMF/NIST 800-53 experience, plus familiarity with SIEMs and Nessus.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree with minimum DoD-related experience.
• DoD 8570 IAM I certification (Security+). RMF/NIST 800-53 experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security posture for programs and information systems.
• Prepare and review SSPs, risk assessments, A&A packages, and related documentation.
• Ensure IS security documents are current and audit-ready; collect and review logs.
• Manage POAMs to remediate identified weaknesses.
• Develop a directorate-wide information systems security program per ICD 503, DAAG, IC, and DoD rules.
• Serve on the Security Configuration Control Board and security-focused groups.
