Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support cybersecurity posture for assigned information systems. Responsibilities include implementing security controls, maintaining documentation, and ensuring RMF/NIST compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree with 2+ years; in lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g. Security+)

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing and maintaining security controls, monitoring system security, managing vulnerabilities, supporting incident response, and maintaining required cybersecurity documentation.
• Work with system admins, engineers, program teams, and the ISSM to protect systems, support authorization activities, and maintain ongoing compliance.
• Support compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CNSSI, and related government/industry standards.
• Assist with implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring of security controls for information systems, networks, or enclaves.
• Review vulnerability scans, support remediation, track POA&Ms, and assist with incident reporting and response.
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation such as SSPs, SOPs, contingency plans, and audit artifacts; coordinate with ISSMs and teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
