Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Manager to lead client engagements involving cyber incidents, data breaches, and information security events, focusing on post-incident response. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams and serve as a trusted advisor to executives, guiding remediation and stakeholder communications.

The role emphasizes end-to-end breach response, data impact assessments, regulatory considerations, and executive-level reporting in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, cybersecurity or related field.
• 5–8 years in cyber incident response, data breach response, digital forensics, privacy or cybersecurity consulting.
• Deep understanding of security threats and incident response.
• Familiar with electronic discovery and analysis legalities.
• Strong privacy/data protection regulation knowledge across jurisdictions.
• Experience supervising engagement teams and reviewing work products.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements.
• Executive communication, stakeholder management, consulting skills.
• Willingness to travel and work after-hours; driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end breach response engagements following incident containment and forensic investigation.
• Direct assessment and analysis of impacted data to determine exposure of sensitive information.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, privacy, legal, forensic, compliance, and client stakeholders.
• Advise clients on notification, regulatory, contractual, and reporting obligations.
• Oversee data review, document analysis, impact assessments, and decisions about affected individuals and organizations.
• Develop executive reports, client deliverables, regulatory submissions, and board-ready communications.
• Guide remediation planning and implementation, including process improvements and control enhancements.
• Manage large-scale projects with multiple workstreams and tight deadlines.
• Provide strategic counsel to client leadership during high-profile incidents.
• Mentor and develop engagement teams while ensuring quality.
