Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Manager to lead client engagements focused on cyber incidents, data breaches, and information security events. This role centers on post-incident response, helping clients assess data, navigate regulatory obligations, coordinate remediation, and communicate with stakeholders.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, deliver executive reports, and mentor staff while managing large, multi-workstream projects in a hybrid US model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, cybersecurity or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in cyber incident response, data breach response, digital forensics, privacy consulting, cybersecurity consulting, risk advisory, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response; ability to digest threat intelligence for client engagements.
• Familiarity with electronic discovery and analysis.
• Strong privacy and data protection regulation knowledge across jurisdictions.
• Experience supervising engagement teams and reviewing work products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills; ability to communicate complex concepts to wide audiences.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end breach response engagements after containment and forensics.
• Assess impacted data and determine exposure of sensitive information.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across cybersecurity, privacy, legal, forensic, compliance.
• Advise on notification, regulatory, contractual obligations.
• Oversee data review, analysis, and decision-making for affected parties.
• Develop executive reports, regulatory submissions, and board communications.
• Guide remediation planning and control enhancements.
• Manage large, multi-workstream projects with tight deadlines.
• Provide strategic counsel to client leadership during incidents.
• Mentor and develop engagement teams for quality outcomes.
