Erias Ventures in Arlington, VA seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Incident Manager to lead on-site incident response for civilian government agencies and critical asset owners, performing investigations, triage, and mitigation planning to restore services.

The role requires strong knowledge of NIST guidelines, CND concepts, and threat data analysis, with responsibilities spanning data correlation, defense-in-depth recommendations, and coordination across teams during shifts (M-F 1400-2230 EST).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-62 (latest revision) and FISMA standards as they pertain to reporting incidents.
• Knowledge of NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System to prioritize triaging of incidents.
• Knowledge of general attack stages and vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of system and network security threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Correlating incident data to identify trends.
• Recommending defense in depth principles and practices.
• Performing CND incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and impact.
• Researching known resolution steps to mitigate incidents.
• Applying cybersecurity concepts to detect and defend intrusions and analyze logs.
• Monitoring external data sources for threat currency and enterprise impact.
• Identifying causes of incidents and gathering background information.
• Analyzing network alerts to determine possible causes.
• Tracking CND incidents from detection to resolution across teams.
• Providing support during assigned shifts (M-F 1400-2230 EST).
