Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have extensive incident response experience and familiarity with incident-handling methodologies.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-62 and FISMA related reporting requirements.
• Experience using NCCIC Cyber Incident Scoring System to prioritize triage.
• Understanding of general attack stages from recon to post-exploitation.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities and categorize related attacks.
• Knowledge of basic system administration and OS hardening techniques.
• Experience with diverse threat environments and CND concepts.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends across incidents.
• Develop mitigation plans and guide remediation activities.
• Lead containment, eradication, and recovery efforts for cyber incidents.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners during incidents.
• Review alerts and log data to determine incident scope and impact.
• Document incidents from detection through resolution for compliance.
