L. B. Foster Company is seeking an IT Security Specialist to safeguard the organization by monitoring the IT security environment, responding to threats, and building company-wide security best practices. This on-site, full-time role reports to the IT Security Manager.

The position requires experience in security technologies, threat detection, and incident response, with a focus on proactive security measures and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of IT systems administration experience.
• 1+ year of security technology experience.
• Associates degree in IT security or related field preferred or 2+ years experience.
• 1+ year in a helpdesk/customer-service oriented role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, report, deploy, and maintain security platforms.
• Respond to threats per incident response plan.
• Threat hunting and cyber security assessments.
• Validate security posture via reports and tests; participate in audits.
• Manage small to medium security projects from initiation to closure.
• Triage and resolve security service requests and tickets.
• Maintain health of security agents and tools across environments.
• Monitor infrastructure including Private Cloud, Azure, and on-site deployments.
• Network security monitoring including firewalls and SD-WAN security.
• Educate users and run awareness training programs.
• Investigate phishing campaigns and remediation.
• Participate in business-level security discussions and controls implementation.
