Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a cybersecurity analyst to defend front-line against threats, monitor and respond to incidents, and coordinate with SOC teams. You will perform vulnerability testing, continuous diagnostics, and risk assessments across networks, servers and endpoints while ensuring access control and regulatory compliance.

The role requires collaboration with IT and business teams, ongoing learning, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field.
• At least one security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• 3–5 years information security administration/analysis/engineering in a corporate setting.
• Demonstrated experience with third‑party security tools to manage/audit information systems.
• 3+ years exposure to Information Technology General Controls.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform network security analysis and coordinate with 3rd party SOC teams for incident response and threat intel.
• Provide strategic and near real-time auditing, reporting, remediation and tracking of security activities.
• Analyze data and report vulnerabilities from network-based attacks; recommend mitigation actions.
• Evaluate new tools and use existing tools to discover and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate with system and network administrators to track and mitigate vulnerabilities timely.
• Assist with user account administration and access control requests and reporting.
• Review vulnerability scans and stay current on new vulnerabilities and malware impacting the organization.
• Configure and monitor security software/systems to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
• Assist with breach response, investigation and remediation activities.
• Perform security assessments of networks, systems and servers.
• Monitor, analyze and communicate security alerts and information.
• Log support requests accurately using incident management tools and perform post-resolution follow-up.
• Engage 3rd party support partners as required and stay current with evolving processes and standards.
