Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Lead to join the DoS DSCM program in Rosslyn, VA. You will integrate cybersecurity data, shape data models, and lead data enablement across the mission.

You will guide both technical and analytical teams toward data excellence, secure infrastructure, and effective data management; and you will mentor analysts, design data governance, and drive strategic cyber analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 14 years’ experience required.
• An additional 4 years will be considered in lieu of degree/education.
• Knowledge of Cribl, Splunk, Data Bricks and Tableau.
• Experience in Cyber Analytics, XDR, and Cloud Data Management.
• U.S. citizenship required and active Secret security clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the Cyber Data Analytics team, promoting growth and value delivery.
• Direct collection, storage, and management of large cybersecurity datasets with data integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure handling of cyber datasets.
• Ensure data hygiene, accuracy, and efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Establish data governance practices for cybersecurity analytics.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality, optimization, and processing efficiency.
• Guide cloud analytics platform implementation and tool enhancements.
• Ensure integration of cloud solutions with existing data infrastructures.
• Develop strategic direction for the cyber data management domain.
• Work with vendors to enhance tool capabilities and resolve challenges.
