Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Lead to join the DoS Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program in Rosslyn, VA. You’ll integrate cybersecurity data, shape data models, and lead data enablement across the mission.

You will guide analytical and technical teams to ensure data excellence, secure infrastructure, and effective data management practices, advising analysts and driving strategic initiatives for cyber operations.

Qualifications

• Req: Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of experience; 4 years can substitute for education.
• Knowledge of Cribl, Splunk, Data Bricks and Tableau.
• Experience in Cyber Analytics, XDR, and Cloud Data Management.
• Possess one of the listed certifications (CASP+ CE, CCISO, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSLC, or SCYBER).
• U.S. citizenship required and active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the Cyber Data Analytics team, promoting growth and value delivery.
• Direct collection, storage, and management of large cybersecurity datasets with integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to secure handling of cyber datasets.
• Ensure data hygiene, accuracy, and efficient retrieval and analysis.
• Establish and oversee data governance for cybersecurity analytics.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality, processing efficiency, and optimization.
• Provide guidance on cloud-based analytics platforms and tool enhancements.
• Ensure smooth integration of cloud solutions with existing cyber data infra.
• Develop strategic direction for the cyber data management domain aligned with goals.
• Work with vendors/partners to enhance capabilities and resolve challenges.
