Job description

As a welder, you are responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless steel and other materials, and for operating equipment to assemble structures.

Essential Functions

• Participate in all safe start meetings.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Follow 5S standards to maintain the work area.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications.
• Set up and align components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components using manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
• Operate angle grinders and other tools necessary to prepare the surface to be welded.
• Complete pre‑operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related degree from a technical college, a plus.
• 1 year of proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment, or internship while attending technical college.
