Intertek’s Building & Construction team seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in Fairfax, VA. The role focuses on enforcing welding quality, performing inspections on structural steel, and ensuring compliance with safety standards across construction sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification with D1.1 experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and environment guidelines.
• Inspect structural steel during erection and perform visual inspections of welded products.
• Record test results and follow up on non-conformances.
• Communicate issues and provide process improvement recommendations.
• Operate measurement tools and testing equipment as needed.
