Job summary

Aegeus Inspection Solutions is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to ensure the integrity and safety of welded structures across projects in the professional, scientific, and technical services sector. You will inspect welding processes, materials, and finished welds to verify conformity with industry codes, collaborate with engineers, and recommend corrective actions.

The ideal candidate has a CWI certification, at least five years of welding inspection experience, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from AWS or equivalent recognized body.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding inspection or a related technical field within the professional, scientific, or technical services industry.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and relevant codes such as AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and API standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and inspection reports.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively document findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual and nondestructive inspections of welds to assess quality and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Review welding procedures, qualifications, and documentation to ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Identify welding defects and discontinuities, document findings, and collaborate with fabrication teams to implement corrective measures.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry developments, standards, and best practices to continuously improve inspection techniques and processes.
