Job summary

UES is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to ensure the quality and integrity of welded structures by conducting inspections and verifying compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

The role involves inspecting welds on job sites, interpreting drawings, and collaborating with fabricators, engineers, and supervisors to uphold welding best practices while adhering to safety protocols in diverse field environments.

Qualifications

• Inspects welded structures for quality and integrity per standards and project specs.
• Interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and manuals to understand project requirements.
• Maintains safety protocols to protect self and others in field environments.
• Demonstrates adaptability to changing schedules and field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspections at job sites in a timely fashion and submit accurate reports.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manuals to understand project requirements.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Partner with fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to ensure project quality and completion per specifications.
• Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect oneself and others in the work environment.
