Job summary

SMEUSA in Lansing, MI is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and NDT Technician. This position involves site inspections for structural connections and non-destructive testing using methods like ultrasonic and magnetic-particle testing.

The ideal candidate will have AWS CWI certification, experience in NDT, and must be able to travel throughout Michigan for various projects. Qualifications

• A current American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• NDT experience with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, Level II certification for UT, MT, and/or PT.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform bolted and welded structural connection reviews on construction sites.
• Conduct NDT on welds and structural members.
• Collect samples and perform lab testing as needed.
