Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our Professional Services Industries team in Kaukauna, WI. The candidate will inspect welded products, perform tests, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across building projects and pipelines.

AWS CWI with D1.1 experience and at least 4 years of relevant work are required. The role offers comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to advance within a leading QA organization focused on risk management and quality

Qualifications

• Must have AWS CWI certification with D1.1 experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and environment guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Testing and inspection of structural steel during erection on general building and pipeline sites, and occasional plant inspections.
• Inspect general construction and structural steel erection for buildings.
• Perform visual inspections on welded products in progress and completed jobs.
• Inspect welding jobs for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, etc.
• Record results of tests and welding inspections.
• Issue and follow up on non-conformances until close out.
• Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, test, and integration to assure quality of assigned product.
