Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in Tukwila, WA. The role covers testing and inspection of structural steel, welding quality assurance, and non-destructive testing in line with D1.1 standards.

This position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will have AWS CWI with D1.1 experience, 5+ years of relevant work, and strong blueprint reading and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification with D1.1 experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• ICC Structural Steel and Bolting highly preferred.
• ICC/WABO certifications are preferred.
• Prior Level I/II certification in MT & UT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and environment guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Test and inspect structural steel during erection on general building and pipeline sites; occasional plant inspections.
• Inspect general construction and structural steel erection for buildings.
• Perform visual inspections on welded products in progress and completed jobs.
• Inspect welding jobs for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, etc.
