Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking a CVT Charge for its busy Cath Lab team. You will monitor diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral studies, act as scrub assistant, and support education for students and new hires.

This is a full-time daytime role in a close-knit, state-of-the-art lab. Candidates should have an Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field, and RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire; ARRT or FL credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field is preferred or required in lieu of degree.
• RCIS or RCES certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor procedures including diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral studies and structural heart procedures.
• Work as a scrub assistant and support education and mentoring of students and new hires.
• Deliver high-quality, safe patient care in a collaborative cath lab environment.

We are searching for someone who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset and value their professional experience they will acquire while working. At Leesburg Hospital, there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices.

There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health‘s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT Charge, under the direction the of the director/manager person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral studies as well as structural heart procedures, and works as a scrub assistant. The CVT Charge also assists with education and mentoring of students and new hires within the cath lab environment and facilitates the delivery of quality, safe patient care. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position.

On-Call Required Qualifications

• Education
• Associate‘s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
• In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years‘ experience and:
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
• FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS
• ACLS
