Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Surgical Tech with 2+ years OR experience and cardio-thoracic scrubbing expertise. A current BLS certification is required, with OR technician program graduation preferred and certification recommended.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years recent operating room experience as a Surgical Tech required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience scrubbing for cardio-thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery required.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Graduated from an accredited Operating Room Technician Program required.
• National Surgical Technician certification, recommended.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room with surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Support cardio-thoracic procedures and post-op care as needed.
