Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Southwest Healthcare, is seeking a Radiology Technician specialized in ultrasound. The role performs sonograms and assists the radiologist during biopsy and general/vascular exams, ensuring proper procedure documentation and charging of supplies.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a sonographer at an acute care facility preferred.
• Diploma from a certified school of ultrasound or equivalent preferred.
• ARDMS required.
• RVT (registered vascular technologist) strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to perform general & vascular exams (arterial, carotids, etc.).
• Ability to follow physician’s orders.
• Ability to pull related exams for doctor viewing.
• Must be able to perform sonography studies in an operating room setting.
• Performs “Time Out” on all procedures, ensures universal protocols are completed on all patients by utilizing “two identifiers” per TJC NPSG standard.
• Verbalizes and demonstrates HIPAA compliance and all safety practices as supported by organizational policy and procedure
