Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the RN in the procedural suite, providing compassionate patient care and upholding nursing standards. You will assist with setup, aseptic technique, and instrument handling, while contributing to a safe, efficient operating environment.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, OR experience preferred, and current BLS certification. You will engage in continuing education and adhere to DCH policies and behavioral standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with Anatomy & Physiology I or CST/cert course.
• Operating Room or equivalent experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with nursing care of patients in the procedural suite under RN supervision.
• Maintains aseptic technique and follows established procedures and policies.
• Familiar with instruments and equipment used in the procedural suite.
• Sets up and cleans up after each case and assists with procedures.
• Participates in committees and teams and supports safety and quality initiatives.
• Adheres to hospital policies and behavioral standards.
• Performs competency activities per job class and maintains ongoing education.
