Unit: OPERATING ROOM

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. The tasks and responsibilities include:

• Collaborates with physicians and registered nurses to serve in a support role within CVOR.
• Responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases.
• Proficient in surgical environment as a surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists.
• Surgical Technologist certification.
• Must have experience in Adult and Pediatric CVOR in addition to other OR services.
• Detail-oriented with ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time.
• Call required for pediatric and adult CVOR.
