Job summary

Centra Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will assist surgeons and RNs to facilitate sterile, safe, and efficient invasive procedures, ensuring equipment readiness and patient safety throughout the operative process.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program, and certification in Surgical Technology. Prior perioperative experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Support surgical team to ensure sterile technique and instrument readiness.
• Assist with patient education and maintain unit quality metrics.
• Support ongoing professional development and learning for students.
