Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions is seeking a Travel CVOR Surgical RN for a 13-week assignment in Phoenix, AZ. You will provide specialized perioperative care in the cardiovascular OR, 40 hours per week, and contribute to high-acuity patient safety.

This travel contract requires active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and strong teamwork to support surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff throughout preop, intraop and postop phases.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Cardiovascular and/or CVOR experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and surgical patients.
• Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist with OR preparation, equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-prevention standards.
• Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, technologists.
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Support patient positioning and intraoperative safety.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
• Promote a safe and efficient operating room environment.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative care as required.

Position: Travel RN - CVOR Surgical

Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Schedule: Full-Time

Employment Type: Travel Contract

As a CVOR Surgical RN, you’ll be an essential member of the cardiovascular operating room team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and surgical patients
• Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist with OR preparation, equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
• Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team
• Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition
• Support patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative safety
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols
• Promote a safe and efficient operating room environment
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative care as required

What We’re Looking For

• Active RN license in the applicable state
• Current BLS, Acls certification
• Cardiovascular and/or open-heart surgical experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
• Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced travel assignment
• Commitment to the full 13-week contract
