Job summary

Nursefinders Staffing Division is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist to support complex cardiac and vascular surgeries at a premier healthcare facility. You will prepare sterile fields, manage specialized cardiovascular equipment, and anticipate team needs to ensure efficient procedures.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years CVOR experience, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience.
• Experience assisting with open-heart and vascular procedures preferred.
• Current CST certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular instrumentation, sterile technique, and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and vascular procedures, including open-heart surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with setup and operation of specialized cardiovascular surgical equipment.
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs to ensure procedural efficiency.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to provide exceptional patient care.
