Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience; CVOR preferred.
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• License required if applicable.
• Active certifications required; pending certifications not accepted.
• One professional reference from a manager/supervisor; coworkers not accepted.
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required; exemptions only.
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate.
• Background checks and no hits on professional license.
• Permanent/per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for CVOR open heart and vascular cases in a hospital CVOR unit.
• Scrub open heart and vascular cases including wired vascular procedures.
• Adhere to day shift schedule: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• On-call: 1–2 weekday shifts weekly; end of shift to 07:00 next morning.
• Weekend on-call: 24 hours Saturday and Sunday every 6 weeks.
• One working shift on Saturday or Sunday per 6 weeks; may rotate on holidays.
• Travelers may work every other holiday; local hires at same bill rate.
• RTO discussed during interview; background checks reviewed.
• No hits on professional license; extensions possible with client for up to 18 months.
