Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC seeks a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to support heart and major vascular surgeries. You will help prepare the CVOR, ensure sterility, and coordinate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to maintain a safe operative environment.

This role requires knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, proficiency with sterile technique, and the ability to handle specialized OR equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• General OR experience preferred.
• Optional CVOR certification (e.g., CST-CVOR from NBSTSA).

Responsibilities

• Prepare CVOR and set up instrument trays.
• Sterilize and arrange cardiovascular instruments.
• Prepare grafts, sutures, and delivery systems.
• Transport and position the patient for surgery.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon with precision.
• Monitor and manage specialized OR equipment.
• Anticipate instrument needs based on surgical steps.
• Maintain accurate instrument and sponge counts.
• Assist with patient transfer to recovery.
• Clean and restock the CVOR for the next case.
• Document any equipment or supply issues.
