Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ, seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist. The part-time role supports the Open Heart Surgery team and involves scrubbing in on at least two specialties per case.

You will assist in procedures under RN direction, working with surgeons and nurses to maintain a high standard of patient care. The position offers shift flexibility and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Requires surgical technologist certification and 1–2 years of experience, or 3–4 years in a surgical technologist role.
• Scrub proficient in a minimum of two surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures; pulls instruments and supplies, ensures instrument readiness.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and scrubs in at least two surgical specialties.
• Maintains aseptic technique and assists with counting instruments and supplies.
• Assists with OR turnover, stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
• Leads or participates in training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students.
• Follows safety procedures for medication labeling, specimens, sharps, time-out, radiation and infection control.
