Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, scrubbing on at least two specialties and maintaining aseptic technique. You will prepare instruments, pass supplies, and support OR turnover while mentoring students and staff.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, and Surgical Technologist certification. Weekend/holiday rotations apply; generous call/shift differentials may be offered as part of compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; Surgical technologist certification preferred or required.
• Proficiency in scrubbing on at least two surgical specialties and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Willingness to participate in training/education of staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures and ensure instruments and supplies are in good working order.
• Anticipate surgeon needs, pass instruments, and scrub in on two specialties.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper disposal of sharps and waste throughout procedures.
• Review case carts and assist with OR turnover and supply replenishment.
• Participate in training of staff and students and support department administration.
