Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Staff RN - Cardiovascular to join the OR team. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care across the Main and Cardiovascular OR, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists. The position requires perioperative and cardiovascular OR experience, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS. Schedule: Days, 6:30am–3:00pm, with on-call.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• One year Cardiovascular OR experience required.
• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting in both the Main OR and Cardiovascular OR.
• Coordinate the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist; directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and participate in Performance Improvement activities; unit meetings and in-services.
• On-call rotation is required.
