Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis seeks a skilled nurse to provide patient care within the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.

You will coordinate with the surgical team and other departments, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and uphold Mercy Service Standards. The role requires a nursing degree, RN license in the hiring state (or compact), and at least six months of OR experience with relevant certifications such as BLS and other unit-specific credentials.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Active RN license in applicable state or compact license.
• Experience: Six months OR experience as defined by policy.
• Certifications: BLS at minimum; ACLS/ALS, PALS, and other unit-specific credentials may be required.

Position Details

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience: Six months OR experience. Proficient in Level I requirements as defined per policy.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

• CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
