Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. The role collaborates with other departments to coordinate care and evaluates care effectiveness across direct care givers.

Applicants must graduate from an approved nursing program and hold or obtain an RN license in the hiring state or a compact licensure. BLS and other certifications may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Other unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM, etc.).

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Experience:

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
