Job summary

Banner Health Staffing Services is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nurse to join the internal registry and support the Operating Room at Banner Estrella Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. This position involves assisting physicians with cardiovascular procedures and providing nursing care in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
BLS certification is required.
Minimum of one year RN experience in the operating room.
New to service/new operating room nurses must complete the Perioperative Academy curriculum within the first year.
Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
Formulates a plan of care, including discharge plan, using assessment data and input from patient/family and health team.
Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team.
Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan of care as needed in collaboration with the health team.
Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record with timely, legible entries.
