Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Nursing Manager at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. The role plans and provides clinical leadership across a 6-surgical-suite CVOR, supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists in cardiac and vascular procedures and coordinating staffing, safety, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS required.
• 1–2 years of clinical leadership experience; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees unit operations to ensure smooth patient care and appropriate bed/staff assignments.
• Promotes patient and staff satisfaction while maintaining safety and retention.
• Coordinates quality initiatives and aligns with metrics.
• Develops leadership and staffs through coaching and career development.
• Facilitates unit meetings and shared governance efforts.
• Leads staffing processes including selection, onboarding, and retention.
• Assists in budgeting and operational resource management for department.
• Supervises unit staff to ensure excellent patient care and problem-solving support.
