Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our operating room team. You will assist with sterile technique, set up instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures, and support the surgeon, nurses, and anesthesiologist throughout cases.

The role requires high school diploma, completion of an approved Surgical Technician program, BLS, and experience in a surgical setting; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience in cardiovascular (CV) / Hearts strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications for procedures.
• Prepares and labels solutions and medications used, reporting amounts for charting.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists with draping and instrument handling.
• Assists surgeon, nurses, and anesthesiologist during procedures as needed.
• Performs counts and prepares room for the next case.
• Cleans and prepares the room after procedures and ensures readiness for next patient.
