Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU night shift opportunity in Great Falls, MT offers a full-time, on-site role with a $115k-$125k compensation. Work 3x12s from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in an inpatient CVICU setting, with strong nurse-to-patient ratios and supportive administration.

You will provide direct care for cardiovascular patients, operate advanced cardiac equipment, and collaborate with providers and staff to implement care plans while maintaining detailed electronic documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Montana (or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Certifications: Core certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Must complete PALS within 6 months. EPNC and TNCC preferred; PALS also noted as preferred.
• Required Experience: Post-graduate clinical practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with recent Critical Care/ICU nursing experience involving cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Preferred Experience: 1–2 years of dedicated Cardiac Surgical ICU experience; familiarity with Impella pumps, cardiac balloon pumps, and CRRT equipment.
• Core Skills: Advanced nursing principles, use of multiple IV pumps, and operation of advanced medical equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients requiring advanced monitoring from admission through discharge.
• Operate advanced cardiac and life-support equipment (ventilators, central/arterial lines, multiple IV pumps, CRRT).
• Monitor patients using advanced cardiac devices (IABP, Impella) and titrate therapies.
• Serve as a clinical floor leader, guiding RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary staff.
• Collaborate with Providers, Charge Nurses, and nurse leadership to implement evidence-based care plans and thorough discharge planning.
• Maintain meticulous electronic documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes
