Job summary
GlobalFoundries is seeking an Equipment Engineering Technician (CVD Novellus) for the D2 Day Shift at the Essex Junction Fab 9, a 200mm semiconductor facility operating 24/7. You will monitor, sustain and improve equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and communicate status updates to the Lead Tech or Engineer.
The role requires reading schematics, using basic hand tools, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a cleanroom with specialized PPE.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Associate degree in engineering technology preferred or relevant experience.
- Experience with electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and reading schematics/diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, sustain and improve semiconductor equipment in assigned area.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic principles.
- Document events and communicate status to Lead Tech or Engineer.
- Work safely in a cleanroom environment and follow EHS&S policies.
