Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking a Machine Operator B to support cutting operations and quality checks in a manufacturing environment. You will unload finished foam, manage trim and baling, and coordinate with line personnel to keep downtime minimal. Training is provided, and flexibility for schedule is required.

The role requires basic math/reading skills and the ability to read a tape measure, with supervision as needed. Monday–Friday shift with potential overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience as a machine operator.
  • On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cutting operations according to programs and customer specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on materials to ensure the product meets customer specifications.
  • Unload finished cut foam material and transport to next production area.
  • Place excess trim material in baler.
  • Maintain communication with line personnel to minimize downtime.
  • Record pertinent information of programs.
  • Operate baler and secure trim material.
  • Cross-train to operate other cutting equipment as needed.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by supervision.
