Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening on the 2nd shift for Operator B in the LMATT department at our Riverside, CA plant. The role focuses on safe operation of equipment, foam part assembly, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You will record production data in SAP, perform quality checks, and ensure proper labeling and packaging according to customer specs. Overtime may be required and the position offers full-time employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely in the LMATT department to manufacture components and finished products.
• Assemble foam parts and assist with materials for machines.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment; keep area free of debris.
• Record pertinent data into the SAP system; monitor and report quality checks.
• Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet customer specifications; label finished products correctly.
• Perimeter edge foam manufacturing and packaging; operate bale machine.
• Wrap, seal and label foam according to customer specifications.

Carpenter Co has an immediate opening on 2nd shift for Operator B in our LMATT department at our Riverside, CA manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used to manufacture components and finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule. This position is also responsible for assembling foam parts, assisting the machine operator with materials for the machines and maintain the department/area so that it is in clean condition free of unnecessary material and/or debris. This position works in a normal production/maintenance environment with exposure to temperature changes and loud noise.

As the successful candidate, you will be expected tomaintain daily communications with Department Managerand other employees in the department.Major responsibilities involve producing products with varying cutting instructions based production requirements.

Your additional responsibilities asan Operator Bwill include:

• Records pertinent data into the SAP system
• Conducts quality checks of all material to meet customer specifications
• Make sure all finished product is labeled correctly
• Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment
• Assist with inventory
• Performing quality check processes by measuring material and ensuring that it matches the specification on each label
• Perimeter edge foam manufacturing and packaging
• Operating the bale machine
• Wrap, seal and label foam according to customer specifications and customer quantities

Skills and requirements

• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations

• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime

Pay depends on qualifications and experience. The Operator B hourly rate starts at $22.9009 per hour.
